Remedy has just announced the official system requirements for Alan Wake 2. It came as a surprise that you'll need an RTX 3070 to run the game at 1080p medium settings. The fact that you're forced to use upscaling technologies is just the cherry on top. If you decide to turn on ray tracing, not even an RTX 4070 will be enough to achieve a high 1440p setting.
Fans are already expressing concerns and questioning the need to have DLSS and FSR activated to achieve a humble 30 FPS target. Worries are also arising regarding how well this game will perform on consoles.
We had hoped that Alan Wake 2 would have more modest specs, but truth be told, Remedy has been teasing the visuals quite a bit. Let's just hope that the graphical fidelity lives up to the demanding specs.
