  Valve has recently announced that a brand new Steam Deck model will be released featuring an OLED screen and improved battery life. The current model comes with a somewhat mediocre LCD screen, so the upgrade is surely welcomed. The upcoming model will become available starting from November 16.

  On top of the much appreciated screen upgrade, the new model also features improved Wi-Fi connectivity as well as better thermals. To top it all off, it also comes with a brand new, smaller, and more compact case.

  I already have a Steam Deck, so there is not much reason for me to buy the OLED model. If you are looking to buy a Steam Deck in the near future, I would highly recommend the OLED model over the LCD one.
